I seriously have never had the manager of a restaurant treat us like this. Finally, we just asked for the check, and he did not say a word, just gave us the bill with an attitude. Restaurant servers are responsible for submitting guest menu selections and presenting these food and beverage preferences. The kitchen should be aware what they are serving, and it's a little SCARY that they are not. Then we mentioned the mussels, and he said, I don't touch the food, but this is not satisfactory when we are paying what we are paying for the dish. This was where they sat us when we came in. We stated to him that we were not served promptly, to which he replied, "well, you were seated somewhere else and you asked to sit here". We asked to speak to the manager, Rick, who was the most unpleasant manager I have ever encountered at any restaurant. By this time, we did not see our server often at all and had to keep flagging him down. The manager did bring out another order of mussels, but we were surprised that one of those were not open either. One of our party ordered paella, but when it came 3 of the 5 mussels were not open.
However, they seemed to be understaffed and he did not come back to the table often to check on us. It took a long time for a server to come, when Davon came he was helpful. I had a handicapped person with me and we stood there waiting for at least 5 minutes while they figured out where. When we entered the restaurant, it seemed like there was an issue seating people.
